CBS rushed into journalistic war.

CBS rushed into journalistic war despite warnings from their own experts, as reported in the Washington Post story. Two document experts retained by CBS News for the disputed "60 Minutes" story on President Bush's National Guard record said yesterday they had warned the program that the memos involved had significant problems but that their concerns were not heeded.

The "smoking-gun" that Dan Rather was going to finally put into the hands of George W. Bush blew up in his face this week. Do I think that Dan rather is personally out to get W? Absolutely. As Eric Hogue pointed out on his morning program, Rather would like nothing more in this world than to get back at the son of Bush 41, the man who put Rather in his place back during an interview in 1988. Rather Biased

In a letter sent to Andrew Heyward, President of CBS news Media Research center's Brent Bozell asks Mr. Heyward to launch a full independent investigation and secondly to immediately suspend Rather.

Is this the next Rathergate? Power line

I'm sure more updates are coming, actually I am getting tired of the Rathergate story. I can hear the low creaking sounds coming from trunk of the CBS news tree, I am just waiting for the deafening crash of CBS news hitting jouralism's forest floor.

TIMBER!
